Terris Temple is the first Westerner to be trained in the art of Tibetan thangka painting. He taught at Naropa Institute as well as at Buddhist centers across the US. Terris studied and practiced Tibetan Thangka painting in Nepal from 1966 to 1975 with various tibetan masters and has continued working on Tibetan art projects since then.
